Clarification from the World Bank:
"This note aims to clarify the fact that a World Bank data site presents development data for 37 countries, including Côte d'Ivoire, that have benefited in the past from the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries Initiative ( PPTE or Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Initiative).
In 2012, Côte d'Ivoire benefited from debt relief under the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries Initiative (or HIPC) Initiative). Since then, Côte d'Ivoire has significantly strengthened its debt management and adopted a prudent medium-term debt strategy.
Debt sustainability risk reviews are undertaken annually by the IMF and the World Bank with the Ivorian authorities. According to the latest debt sustainability analysis (August 2021), sustainability risk remains moderate”
